One of the fundamentals of Robert Kiyosaki’s advice is to understand the concept of the Cashflow Quadrant. The definitions of these four quadrants are very important. If you are in the E quadrant you are an employee and you have a job. In the S quadrant you are a self-employed person who owns your own job. The B quadrant for business owners who have a system that produces cash flow and others work for you. Finally in the I quadrant, as an investor, your money works for you.
Watch the video below to see and hear Robert explain it himself.
Rich people are getting more than 70 percent of their cash flow and income by having money work for them. Understanding the Cashflow quadrant is the follow-up guide to finding the financial fast track that best works for you. It reveals the strategies necessary for moving beyond just job security to greater financial security by generating wealth from four selective financial quadrants.
Cash Flow Quadrant, the sequel to Rich Dad Poor Dad, learn how the role you play in the business world affects your ability to become financially free.
There are four types of people who make up the world of business but it’s the business owners and the investors (not the employees and the self-employed) who can create great wealth by accelerating their cash flow through those assets.
A Wall Street Journal Bestseller, Rich Dad’s CASH FLOW Quadrant is perfect for employees or self-employed individuals interested in finding new ways to generate cash flow. If you’re already a business owner or real estate investor, this book delivers tools for even greater success.
WHAT IS YOUR DREAM?
Freedom of time?
Unlimited resources to travel the world?
Whatever it may be, CASHFLOW 101 THE E GAME teaches you how to get out of the Rat Race and on to the Fast Track.
Learn about money and finance in a fun, interactive environment to make more informed choices about money in your everyday life.
While no replacement for human interaction Cash Flow 101 the eGame is a great tool for times when you cannot find other like-minded people with which to play. It contains all the great financial lessons of the Cash Flow 101 board game but puts them conveniently on your personal computer.
Two features of the game that I have found to be better and more realistic is the stock trading scenarios and card randomness. In the Cash Flow 101 board game all you have to do is buy a stock when you get a low priced card, completely removing the true emotion in a stock trade. Cash Flow 101 the e Game has a simulated stock tickers that changes with each round, adding an element of reality to the trade. I’ve also found that Cash Flow 101 board game loses some spontaneity as you begin to learn what cards are "in the deck". The Cashflow egame will randomly distribute the deals cards, giving the game greater suspense.
There is only one thing that my kids want to do on Friday night. It is not watch TV, movies, or hang out at the mall with friends. They want to play Cash Flow for Kids board game as our “family night” board game. What better way to build a strong family AND give them a financial base that will serve them for years to come.
This game is essentially a scaled down version of 101. It only uses the rat race (no fast track) and is extremely visual. It also uses income and expense cards that are geared towards children. Your kids don’t even have to know how to add in order to play. Cash Flow for Kids Board Game is not about learning complex financially strategies. It is about installing the fundamental concept of Rich Dad Poor Dad – buy assets, NOT liabilities and doodads. After playing only once you’ll be amazed how your kids are just natural entrepreneurs!
Many children over 9 may find Cash Flow for Kids Board Game too easy. No worries, just graduate them up to Cash Flow 101 Board Game.

I can honestly say that Cash Flow 101 has changed my financial life – it was easily the best money I ever spent. Once you get the game play it once or twice to get used to the game play. Then find other people with which to play and start learning. One of the best lessons of the Cash Flow 101 board game is not just what to to, but what NOT to do..
Cash Flow 101 Board Game can be played with only two people or as many as 6 but I’ve found that three new players, or four experienced, seems to be the best mix. I also suggest that you do not use the paper money that comes with Cash Flow 101; it slows down the game play too much. Just use journal entries, it is faster plus more realistic – you’re not buying stocks, businesses, and real estate with cash in the real world.
Once you have played Cash Flow 101 enough that you are able to get out of the rat race consistently in less than one hour you are ready to graduate to Cash Flow 202 Board Game.
